A walk Around Derwent Water

Name of walk A walk Around Derwent Water
Date of walk 2012-07-27
On Saturday Brendan, Ness and I drove to Portinscale to do the 9 mile walk around Derwent Water.
It is longer than Ennerdale but a lot easier, with places to stop and the shops of Keswick at the end.

We parked near the suspension bridge then stopped at the Tea Room for coffee and cake before we set off in earnest.

We stopped for a late pub lunch and a bit of shopping in Keswick. Then I walked back to Portinscale to collect the car to save Ness and Brendan’s legs!
Always a good, gentle walk!
