|Name of walk||A walk up Pike o' Blisco|
|Date of walk||2006-09-11|
Today Ged, Kas and me went to Great Langdale to take a walk up to Pile o’ Blisco. It was very hazy, still, but warm. We were not hopeful of any views, but could do with the exercise!
Looking towards The Band and Mickleden.
The route up to Pike o' Blisco.
Ged taking a breather.
There are several rock steps to negotiate.
A mass of flying ants at the summit cairn!
Unfortunately still not much in the way of a view.
Looking down on Red Tarn.
View over the Wrynose Pass to Wet Side Edge, Wetherlam and Swirl How.
The Band and Pike o' Stickle beyond.
Heading back down.
The view back to Lamgdale.
Nearly back down and another view up The Band, the view is clearing.
Great view now of the Langdale Pikes.
An even better view of the Old Dungeon Ghyll Pub! We stop for a drink.
View back down Langdale from the car on the way home.
Only a short walk of under 5 miles. It took us four hours.
