|Name of walk||Kelly Hall Tarn in Snow|
|Date of walk||2016-01-17|
This morning we took a drive to Torver, parking in the car park opposite the Land Rover Dealership for the short walk up and around Kelly Hall Tarn. After yesterday’s expedition in the snow up to Birkhouse Moor, I fancied something a bit less strenuous. As it was Sunday the car park was practically empty, but full of snow! A 4×4 is required to park here! We then continued on to the Wilson’s Arms for lunch. My birthday treat.

Kelly Hall Tarn with Dow Crag and Coniston Old Man in the distance.
Looking up to Beacon Fell.
The high fells are only just visible in the distance.
Brendan catches me up.
Today my hat will be visible from space!
Looking back down on the tarn.
Again in close up. Looks like I'm shooting in black and white.
Back at the lake shore to complete our circuit.
We head off back to the car.
Lunch at the Wilson's Arms in Torver.
We even had snow on Walney Island this morning. A fat Stealth Tigger in our garden.
The walk was only half an hour long, the lunch was longer! Back home in time to watch most of the footy, it was that riveting I fell asleep. 😉
