|Name of walk||Lingmoor Fell with Tom|
|Date of walk||2007-08-23|
Tom and I drove to Blea Tarn car park via Great Langdale in order to walk up Lingmoor Fell. A small fell at 1530ft that shouldn`t pose too much of a problem for Tom. We stopped on the way at Coniston Water.
Still and blue today.
With some good reflections.
We walked around Blea Tarn. The Langdales in the distance. Side Pike in the foreground.
Our route up can be seen. Just up the right of Side Pike and then the ridge off right towards the summit.
View across to Lingmoor.
Walking up to Side Pike.
The heather was stunning. Looking back to Blea Tarn, Blake Rigg behind.
Side Pike in the foreground. Behind is Esk Pike, to the right Pike o` Stickle and Harrison Stickle.
Tom stopping for a rest.
Tom having another rest..
Got chatting to a guy and his son from Buckinghamshire who took this for us.
View out to Elterwater and Coniston Water.
More heather on the way down.
Had lunch here.
View back down to Blea Tarn.
The white Bleatarn House (Wordsworth lived here) is where the route down joins the road.
Looking down the gorge.
Stopped off in Chapel Stile at Wainwrights` Inn. The cartmaker not the fell walker!
