|Name of walk||Seat Sandal and Grisedale Tarn|
|Date of walk||2006-10-15|
Sunday was due to be a nice day so we decided to go up Seat Sandal (2415ft). Took Tom and his friend Alex.The walk started from Dunmail Raise up Raise Beck Cascades to Grisedale Tarn.
Steel Fell from near the start of the walk up Raise Beck.
The view up.
Start of the cascades.
Alex and Tom.
Grisedale Tarn looking out to Fairfield and St. Sunday Crag at about 1900ft
The view to Dollywagon Pike. The boys having a rest.
Had lunch sat on a big rock admiring the view.
The boys decided not to go up Seat Sandal as it looked too steep so they walked around the Tarn while I went to the top. Yes it was steep, but still quite easy. So boys ARE wimps! Good view from the summit of the path up Dollywagon Pike.
Path up Fairfield that I walked a few weeks ago. No view to Ullswater today, too hazy..
View down Grisedale Hause to Tongue Gill
A quick way down?
Very hazy but Grasmere can just be made out.
Looking over the grassy top of Seat Sandal to Dollywagon pike, Nethermost Pike and Helvellyn
Just about to set off back.
Cascades now in sunlight.
The world and his wife are on their way home!
Seat Sandal from Dunmail Raise.
Went for a Coffee and cake in Grasmere. Very naughty!
