On Easter Sunday Tom and I decided on a walk up Blackcombe. We started walking at 8.30am so we could be sure of getting back to the church car park well before the start of the Easter Service. The route is just under five miles there and back.

From the church car park we turn left on to the lane.

Then up through the gate.

It was cold this morning.

The trig point is inside the shelter.

I walk to the northern edge for the view.

Looking along the coast towards St. Bees Head and Sellafield.

We head down towards the tarn.

South summit.

It is quite a big cairn.

View to Hodbarrow and Walney Island.

As we head back down there are quite a few people on their way up.
