To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary Brendan and I decided to visit the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, near Wakefield. A 500 acre outdoor art gallery in the Bretton Estate. It takes a whole day to see all the sculpures, we still have some to go back for. I’m writing this blog nearly four months later so I’ve only labelled a few of the photos. It is a good walk though, with paths, grass and lakes. I would thoroughly recommend it as a good day out. We stayed at a hotel not far from the park.

We started the day with an early swim in the pool, watched through the window by envious ducks.

On the second day of our stay we went to visit friends in Wakefield and then drove home. We will definitely go back to the Sculpture Park.
