My sister was still staying with us so along with Ged and blind Kas we decided to do the easy walk around Ennerdale Water.
A walk of 7.2 miles. With the small hill of Angler’s Crag to give a bit of elevation and good view down the lake.
We started at the Bowness Knott Car park and walked anti-clockwise.

Ged and Ness.

Looking over to Crag Fell and Angler`s Crag below

View to the weir.

Looking up the lake from the bridge. The route up Angler's Crag on the right.

Kas takes a dip.

A wet dog!

Greylag Geese, unimpressed!

Ged took this.

We head up the gentle slope towards Angler's Crag.

Ness takes a breather before the summit.

View back down.

An excellent place for lunch.

We head back down through the bracken towards the lake shore.

We just follow the path.

Panorama of Bowness Knott, Great Bourne, Starting Dodd and Red Pike.

Ness tries out my alternative head ware.

It is the only way to travel!

We head across the sheep field to the bridge and the walk back to the car.

View back to Steeple and Haycock

One woman and her dog!
We then went for a well earned drink in the Fox and Hounds at Ennerdale Bridge.
Jo.
