Name of walk | Walney Island North End Beach Walk |

Here`s a few pix of the north end of Walney Island. It was too nice to stay in this afternoon so I took a walk by myself, from home, down to the sea via the airfield and then through the nature reserve.

The gliders were out in force this afternoon...

The Tarns were looking good and blue.

Bulls with horns in the same field ...oh...er!.....Great views out to the hills. The tip of the north end is off right.

Tip of the north end in view.

Looking back.

Huts on the other side.

Tip of north end looking out at Blackcombe.

A long way back via the sea.

I cut back through the sand dunes. The hills seen from the dunes.

Back to the Tarns. I had a look for Natterjack toad spawn but none as yet.
Took about three hours to go there and back!
Jo.
