Saturday the 28th of June was Alice and Gavin’s Wedding. It was held at St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Yealand Conyers, Lancashire. The reception was at The Low Wood Hotel on the shores of Windermere, which has excellent views out to the Lakeland Fells. Alice is Brendan’s God daughter. Alice’s Mum is Tom’s God mother.

There were canapes and champagne on arrival at the hotel, then we took a walk down to the jetty. On the lawn opposite The Low Wood Hotel.
A few views out from the jetty.
Wray Castle is directly opposite the hotel.
Back a bit....a bit more......
A good view across Lake Windermere to Crinkle Crags, Bowfell and the Langdale Pikes.

In close up are they are amazingly life like!
After the meal Tom, Brendan and I took an evening stroll down to Jenkin's Field. I have always thought this would be a good place to walk but there is no parking on the side of Windermere for access. So this was my first time here.
The Langdale Pikes as the light goes.

Looking back to The Low Wood Hotel.
The steamer The Teal from the jetty.
Alice and Gavin having some evening photos taken. The two wedding photographers are crouched down in front of them. I took this shot from the road!
Last view to the mountains before we head back inside for the evening 'do'.

The mountains look good with the sun on them.
Alice and Gavin were off to Thailand in the afternoon.
An excellent day!
