Name of walk | An afternoon on Gummers How |
Date of walk | 2013-02-07 |
Last week I had my third Pulmonary Vein Isolation op at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and have been stuck indoors for a week with a DVD boxed set of 7 series of “Criminal Minds”. I`ve got to season six! I feel I’m now a fully trained probationary serial killer! Thankfully I still prefer walking as a hobby!
Gummers How is always a good little fell (1054ft) to get one back in the swing of things, so Brendan and I did an afternoon walk in the sunshine.

Gummers How summit from the road.

I`m being eyeballed by a bull! One of the many Luing cattle roaming the fell.

View from the summit cairn.

Still snow on the fells.

Looking at the Howgills..

Out to sea.

Looking down on Lakeside.

View up Windermere.

View from the far end of the fell.

Fells of the Scandale Horseshoe.

Fells of the Fairfield Horseshoe.

It was cold and windy on the summit.

The Coniston Fells to my right.

Brendan on his way down.
A quick walk of under an hour. Much better than being cooped up at home!
Jo.
