This year the theme of the Dalton, St. Mary’s Tree Festival was ‘A Name Remembered’. This is a yearly festival that raises money for local charities. There were far too many trees to photograph them all, below is just a selection of the ones that caught my eye taken in a break while we were ringing the bells to mark the switching on of the Dalton Christmas Lights.
The Bell Ringers' Tree had a Faberge theme with the money raised going to The British Heart Foundation.
One of the most striking trees was The Bible Society's. The theme was China.
Dalton with Newton Town Council's theme was WW1 Our lost generation, raising money for The Royal British Legion.
Dowdales School for Furness Hedgehog Rescue.
Mothers Union's theme was Florence Nightingale, raising money for NW Air Ambulance.
The Chancel Tree's theme was The Arctic/Antarctic, raising money for Church Funds.
St. Mary's Church Choir's theme was Albert Prince Regent, raising money for The Croft, Barrow.
Pennington Nursery's theme was Childhood Memories, raising money for nursery equipment.
Neurofibromatosis Society's theme was BT's Busby.
Furness Carers theme was A Trip to Blackpool.

Scouts, 1st Duddon's theme is Roy Lichenstein- Pop Art.
Always a good entry by Combat Stress. The theme is Patrick Moore-The Universe.
Jack and Jill Playgroup's theme is Kelloggs, raising money for The British Heart Foundation.
Soroptomist International's theme is Rule Brittania for UNICEF.
Newton School's theme is Cleopatra raising money for Newton Playgroup.
The Bluebell Foundation's theme is Heaven.
Furness Building Society's theme is London and the Royals, raising money for Prostate Cancer.
Barrow and District Society for the Blind's theme is Rio 2016.
