Devoke Water Circuit

Name of walk Devoke Water Circuit
Date of walk 2021-07-18

On Sunday my son Tom and I drove over Birker Fell to walk a circuit of Devoke Water via Seat How, Water Crag and Rough Crag. The two mile walk took us two and a quarter hours. We parked on the Birker Fell Road at about 8.30am. The spaces were full of camper vans who had parked overnight. Two of the camper vans were taking up all the parking space on one side as they had hammocks hanging between them with the occupants still asleep! We managed to squeeze in on the edge.

Always a good walk on a sunny day after a period of no rain, as it wasn’t at all boggy! We were home before midday. On the way home the world and his wife had parked up by the Duddon!
