Dunnerholme Rock & Askam Pier

Name of walk Dunnerholme Rock & Askam Pier
Date of walk 2025-09-22

It was a lovely day so I parked in the car park for a walk on the beach to Dunnerhome Rock and then back the other way to Askam Pier. Then back home in time to see King Charles drive past the end of my road!

I arrived home just in time to park my car and walk to the top of my road and stand next to the speed bump to see King Charles' car drive past. I waited all of 30 seconds. He was sat in the back, far side. He waved, which was nice of him. I must have seen all the Royals over the years as when visiting Cumbria they always fly into Walney Airfield, and have to drive slowly past the end of my road. I have always been a Republican at heart and look forward to the day when they visit as commoners, in a taxi.
