Name of walk | Morecambe Promenade to Heysham Church Walk |
Date of walk | 2008-07-29 |
On Sunday Brendan was visiting his Mum in Heysham, so he dropped me off at the start of the Morecambe Promenade to walk the length of it to Heysham, 4.42 miles or 7077m.

View towards the town.

looking across the Bay. I nipped across the other side of the road to visit The Old Pier Bookshop, buying a couple of paperbacks for Ireland, and once to get a burger for lunch, otherwise I stayed on the Prom. I even missed Eric Morecambe!

Oyster Catcher.

Small pool.

Herons.

The newly refurbished Midland Hotel.

I stopped for coffee in the Rotunda Cafe.

The stone terns on the Stone Jetty.

View back to the Midland Hotel.

View back to the Battery.

From here I headed inland to Brendan`s Mums, and then we all went down to St Peter's Church at Heysham ...11th century.
