Lanty’s Tarn

Name of walk Lanty's Tarn
Date of walk 2026-01-16

We were staying for two nights at The Inn on the Lake in Glenridding for my birthday. Yesterday we had walked to Lacey’s Caves and Long Meg and Her Daughters stone circle in good weather, today there was low cloud so I would meet up with Brendan later after a small walk up to Lanty’s Tarn. The start of the walk is just across from the hotel, down the lane beside the shops. It is well signed.

I would be meeting Brendan at Pooley Bridge later, in the meantime I headed up to Lanty's Tarn, which I haven't been to for ages and would be a suitable walk for low cloud.
