Last Saturday Brendan and I walked from Lanthwaite Green near Crummock Water climbing up to Whiteside (2359ft), Hopegill Head (2525ft), Grasmoor (2795ft), Crag Hill (Eel Crag) (2749ft), Wandope (2533ft) and Whiteless Pike (2165ft). A walk of 11 miles. This is a repeat of the walk I did last August when I met up with Fr. John. Thankfully the visibility was better this year!!

We had lunch on the grass at Hopegill Head, the remains of yesterday`s chilli pizza, whilst looking over to Grisedale Pike. From Sand Hill looking at Eel Crag on the left as we head first towards Grasmoor on the right.

Just after this photo was taken we were enveloped in low cloud and Eel Crag and the ridge route disappeared from sight.

Thankfully the mist covering was short-lived and by the time we were on the next fell the sky was clearer. Now heading up to Eel Crag with Grasmoor behind.
